A man will be sentenced in the district court after he pleaded guilty to being in possession of almost half a kilogram of MDMA at Port Stephens.
Angus James Craig faced Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday.
He has pleaded guilty to one count of supplying a prohibited drug greater than or equal to a commercial quantity - and a charge of dealing with the proceeds of crime will also be taken into account during sentencing, the court heard.
One count of recklessly dealing with the proceeds of crime was withdrawn.
Craig was arrested and charged on the afternoon of April 30 last year after a traffic stop at Salt Ash, where police found him in possession of 419 grams of MDMA and just under $2000 in cash.
Magistrate Robert Stone on Wednesday committed Craig for sentencing in Newcastle District Court.
The 25-year-old from Anna Bay remains in custody. He will face court again on March 25.
