A man is due to appear in court today charged in connection with a €70,000 cocaine seizure.
The man, who is in his 20s, was arrested after gardai seized over €70,000 worth of cocaine during a search in Co Louth.
Gardai from the Louth Drugs Divisional Unit initially stopped the man in a car on Castle Road, Dundalk.
After searching the vehicle, gardai came across the huge haul of cocaine as well items associated with drug dealing including scales and plastic bags.
Gardai also seized £6,500 (€7,352) in cash before arresting the man.
He was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Dundalk Garda Station and later charged.
The man due to appear before Dundalk District Court this morning at 10am.
A garda spokesman said investigations are ongoing.
