A police dog was used to detain a man suspected of assaulting a family member at a house in Liverpool.
Police were called to the property on Russian Drive, Old Swan, on Tuesday evening.
When they arrived they said a man threatened officers with violence and weapons.

They forced entry into the premises and Police Dog Annie helped to detain a 36-year-old man, who was then arrested.
A police spokesperson said: "We have arrested a 36-year-old man from Liverpool after officers were threatened with assault on Russian Drive.
"At around 9.50pm on Tuesday, November 16, officers were called to a report of concern for safety of a man at a house on the road.
"Officers with a police dog forced entry into the property after they were threatened by a man inside. After seeing the police dog the man was arrested by officers on suspicion of assault of a police officer and racial aggression.
"He was taken to a police station in Merseyside for questioning by detectives and has now been released under investigation."
