A man robbed a bank Thursday in Gage Park on the Southwest Side.

The man, thought to be in his early 40s, walked into the bank at 12:22 a.m. in the 2700 block of West 55th Street, according to Chicago police. A Royal Savings Bank branch is located at 2740 W. 55th.

He handed the teller a note “demanding money or threatening to shoot” before leaving the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. He was last seen running south on Fairfield Avenue.
