Man dies in Edinburgh after plunging from 15-storey high-rise flats

A man has died after plunging from a block of high-rise flats in Edinburgh's Little France area.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at the 15-storey block of flats at Moredun House, at Craigour Green, shortly after 6:30am this morning amid reports of a "concern for person".

Police have now confirmed that a man died at the scene. However, while enquiries are ongoing, the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At around 6.40am emergency services were called to a report of a concern for person at Moredun House, Craigour Green, Edinburgh.

"Emergency service attended and a man was pronounced dead at the scene."

"Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances however the death is not being treated as suspicious."

"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
