Man tells ITV This Morning's Holly Willoughby he was so fat he couldn't fit in the bath

A man has told This Morning viewers how he was so fat that he couldn't fit in the bath.

Darren “Dibsy” McClintock weighed the same as two baby elephants, tipping the scales at over 40 stone.

Speaking to ITV presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield he told them how he has lost over 13 stone so that he could have life-saving heart surgery.

'They've nicked me, mate': East 17 singer Brian Harvey arrested in bizarre video

Now weighing 27 stone, one pound, Dibsy, shed the fat with the help of his best mate and personal trainer Mike Hind, 25.

Many might know Dibsy from when Mike posted pictures of him in his local takeaways in Middlesbrough telling them not to serve the 28-year-old.

He still has a goal of getting to 20 stone by the end of the year, but he said he had already felt the benefits of his weight loss.

Dibsy said: "I can fit in the bath now. I get a bath every night.

"I had to get a mini hot tub and blow it up to get washed."

He said the training had been tough, but worth it and was confident he would lose seven stone before 2020.

Mike, who has been pushing and supporting him said the journey had been quite emotional.

He added: "20 stone is still too bit for him, but there will be a lot of excess skin which will weight around three to four stone, so we will have to look at that, that is the next chapter."

Both Holly and Phil congratulated him on his hard work, and many fans of the show echoed their words.

One fan Tweeted: "Omg fair play to him for losing so much weight he’s incredible."

Another added: "Fair play to him..keep going."
