Man taking on 370km walk to Glasgow to raise funds for brother affected by rare condition

A man is currently taking on a gruelling 370km walk from Chester to Glasgow to raise funds for a charity close to his heart.

Adam Wallace has almost completed his mammoth journey in aid of Ehlers-Danlos Support UK.

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a rare incurable condition that Adam's younger brother Luke suffers with that affects connective tissue in the body.

Adam, who lives in Chester but is originally from Glasgow, is taking on the task of walking hundreds of kilometres over a few days to his family back home in Glasgow with the aim of raising funds and awareness for the charity.

To make it trickier, he will be doing the walk dressed in a zebra outfit.

His JustGiving page reads: "My younger brother is part of a community of people who suffer with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome - a rare condition that affects every part of their life, and body.

"I live in Chester and my family are back in my home city of Glasgow. I'll cover 370km over a few days...in a zebra outfit (challenge accepted!)"

A Facebook page is providing frequent updates on Adam's progress, and he is near the end of his challenge, having reached South Lanarkshire. He began his challenge at the start of October.

His JustGiving page has so far raised £1,385 with a £5,000 target.
