Man taken to hospital with suspected head injury after falling through roof


A man has been taken to hospital with a suspected head injury after falling through the roof of a commercial property.

Fire crews and paramedics were called to the incident on South Liberty Lane in Ashton, at around 12:07pm today (Tuesday, July 7).

A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue Service confirmed two crews from Chew and Bedminster attended.

He said: "On arrival, firefighters found one male casualty had fallen through the roof of a property.

"The casualty was conveyed to hospital via ambulance and crews remained to make the scene safe."

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said paramedics treated the man at the scene.

He said: "The caller reported that someone had fallen through a roof at a commercial address.

"Our teams treated a male patient at the scene, and conveyed him to hospital by land ambulance with a suspected head injury."
