A man was taken to hospital with 'serious injuries' after an assault in Sawley.
Police officers over the border in Derbyshire were called to reports of the incident in Draycott Road, near Long Eaton, at around 9.30pm on Thursday evening (May 14).
A spokeswoman for Derbyshire Constabulary said: "He has been taken to hospital with serious injuries and enquiries continue into the circumstances of the incident."
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the force on 101, quoting reference 1335-130521.
Cycle cam footage captured by Stuart Wood in the early hours of Friday morning (May 14) showed Tamworth Road to be blocked by police.
