Police have been called to the scene of a serious assault in Wythenshawe.
Officers were called at around 6.30pm today, Saturday, June 6 to a report of an assault at a shop on Sale Road.
Officers attended and a man aged in his 30s was found nearby on Rackhouse Road.
He was taken to hospital, where he remains for treatment of serious head injuries.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody for questioning.
Enquiries are on-going.
