Man taken to hospital with injuries following assault in Bolton

A man was taken to hospital with injuries after being assaulted in Bolton.

Police were called to Market Street in Westhoughton on Wednesday (December 23) at around 9:50pm following reports of an assault in the area.

Emergency services attended the scene and a man was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life threatening.

Enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for GMP said: " Police were called at around 9.50pm yesterday (23 December) to reports of an assault on Market Street, Westhoughton, Bolton.

"Emergency services attended and a man was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. Enquiries are ongoing."
