Man taken to hospital with head injury after crash on busy road

Police cordoned off a section of road in Nottingham after a crash which left one man hospitalised.

Police were called to Seller’s Wood Drive, Bulwell, shortly after 8.52pm on Thursday, July 22 after reports of a road traffic collision involving a small off-road style vehicle and a car.

The driver of the smaller vehicle was treated at the scene for a head injury and remains in hospital.

His injuries are not serious and nobody else was hurt, police said.

A nearby resident told Nottinghamshire Live the road was cordoned off for a few hours on Thursday evening - it has returned to normal as of Friday morning.

Police are now appealing for anyone with any information on what happened to get in touch with them.

Inspector Kylie Davies, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are keen to understand exactly what happened during this incident and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened.

"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 840 of 22 July.”
