Man taken to hospital with head injuries after stabbing horror in Manchester street

A man was taken to hospital with lacerations to his head after a stabbing in Moston.

Police confirmed that a stabbing involving two men happened on Kenyon Lane at around 6.45pm on Friday (January 22).

A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital after suffering lacerations to his head.

Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.

A barber shop on Kenyon Lane was taped off by police on Friday night.

Forensics were seen gathering evidence and taking photographs inside the barber shop.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers were called around 6.45pm on Friday 22 January 2021 to a report of a stabbing on Kenyon Lane, Manchester.

"Emergency services attended and enquiries established a 35-year-old man had been stabbed by another male.

A crime scene investigation team were sent to the scene (ASP)

"He was taken to hospital with lacerations to his head. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening."

It's understood that a man was arrested in connection with the stabbing. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
