Man taken to hospital with head injuries after found outside Possilpark bingo hall

A man was found by police yesterday evening with head injuries outside a bingo hall in Possilpark.

Officers raced to the scene following reports of a disturbance just before 5pm yesterday evening, April 14.

They sealed off the road outside the bingo hall on Hawthorn Street on arrival.

A man was found with a head injury and has since been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by ambulance.

The condition of the man is not yet known.

Police have launched a probe into the incident and their enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.50 pm on Wednesday, 14 April, 2021, police received a report of a disturbance in Hawthorn Street, Glasgow.

“On arrival they found a man with a head injury. He has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by ambulance.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.”
