Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled the blaze in Church Lane, Haringey.

Firefighters helped a man leave the single-storey car workshop which the London Fire Brigade said is completely alight.

The man suffered burns and was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.

Footage recorded from White Hart Lane in Tottenham, shows smoke billowing from the scene.

The Brigade was called to the fire at around 2.20pm and crews from Tottenham, Enfield, Shoreditch, Leyton and Hornsey fire stations are at the scene.

Firefighters had the blaze under control by 6.10pm.

The Brigade said its control office has received 27 calls about the fire. It added that the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
