A man has been taken to hospital following a crash in Hindley.
Emergency services were called to Cross Street, near Tesco Express, just after 6.30pm yesterday evening (June 17).
Police, an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and fire crews from Hindley were all in attendance.
According to the ambulance service, it was a road traffic collision (RTC) involving two cars.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "We got called to the incident on Cross Street at 6.38pm. We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the scene.
"It was an RTC involving two vehicles.
"We took one patient to the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary."
Witnesses said that one of the cars crashed into a traffic light, leaving the front of the car badly damaged.
Both drivers managed to get themselves out of the cars by themselves.
The watch manager at Hindley Fire Station added: "No one was trapped and no one was taken out of the vehicle by the fire service".
Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for comment.
