Man taken to hospital following crash involving motorcycle on Westerleigh Road

A patient has been hospitalised following a crash involving a motorcycle and car.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Westerleigh Road earlier this morning (September 12) at around 8am.

The collision caused long delays in the area and heavy traffic to build up on the A4174 ring road.

South Western Ambulance Service has confirmed the crash left one person in hospital.

An ambulance spokeswoman said: "We were called at 7.48am to reports of a road traffic collision, reportedly involving a motorbike.

"We have attended with and paramedic motorbike, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance.

"One patient was taken to hospital for further treatment."


Elsewhere in Bristol, a motorcyclist has been hailed a hero after fighting off thieves during an attack. The incident was captured on video.

A judge has also slammed Extinction Rebellion members who blocked the M32, saying they stopped a man from 'seeing his dying dad'.
