Man taken to hospital after stabbing in Lockleaze

A man was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Bristol last night (December 6).

Police were called to Constable Road in Lockleaze at 5.50pm.

A cordon was set up by emergency services, with one witness reporting "lots of police" around Gainsborough Square.

Police are now appealing for witnesses of the incident to come forward.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "We were called at 5.50pm yesterday to Constable Road following reports a man had been stabbed.

"The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

"Crime scene investigators have examined the scene and CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident should call 101 and give reference number 5219282084."
