Man taken to hospital after large police and ambulance response

A man has been taken to hospital after large numbers of police vehicles and an ambulance were seen near to a farm in Urmston.

Emergency services were called to reports of concern for a man's welfare on Newcroft Road, in Urmston.

They were called to the scene shortly before 8.20pm on Tuesday, May 12.

A man was taken to hospital.

Police have said there are no suspicious circumstances.

The incident took place on a farm, close to the Newcroft Garden Nursery.

According to a post on social media around six police cars and three ambulance vehicles could be seen in the area.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called shortly before 8.20pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 to reports of concern for a man’s welfare on Newcroft Road in Urmston.

"Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital.

"There are no suspicious circumstances found in relation to this incident."
