Man taken to hospital after incident at Ingoldmells caravan park

A man has been taken to hospital after he was allegedly struck in the face at an Ingoldmells caravan park near Skegness.

Lincolnshire Police were called to Ingoldale caravan park at around 1.55am on Thursday (July 25).

The victim sustained a facial injury and was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Chloe Mooree who was with the victim at the time, took to Facebook to ask people if they had seen what happened, LincolnshireLive reports.

The post said: "Early hours this morning my friend was stabbed in his face with some glass or a blade on the sea front towards the Spar near the pool and arcades on sea lane in Ingoldmells.

"He's currently sat in A&E waiting for surgery due to muscle damage. He's got to have around 60 stitches due to how deep the wound is."

Lincolnshire Police have launched an investigation.

A force spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.55am today, July 25, by East Midlands Ambulance Service, to Ingoldale Caravan Park, Ingoldmells.

"A man had sustained a facial injury, believed to have been caused by an offender striking him with a bottle, near to the sea front.

"The victim was taken to Lincoln County Hospital with non-serious injuries.

"Anyone with information should call 101, quoting Incident 35 of July 25."
