Man taken to hospital after 'fight' on train

Police were called to deal with an incident on a train on Sunday.

The PSNI said officers received a report on June 7 that a 'number of males' were involved in a fight.

It is understood the incident took place at Carrickfergus Train Station shortly after 9.20pm.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police received a third party report shortly after 9.20pm on Sunday 7th June that a number of males were fighting.

"Upon police arrival, officers identified an injured male who was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries."

A Translink spokesperson said: “Safety is our top priority. We can confirm PSNI were called to an antisocial behaviour incident on board a train from Larne Harbour on Sunday evening."
