Man taken to hospital after falling ill at park

Paramedics attended Horfield Common after a man fell ill.

A South Western Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics were called to the park on Filton Road at about 5.30pm on Monday (April 20).

He said: "We treated an unwell patient and took him to hospital for further care."

The spokesman added it is "not thought" this was a case of coronavirus.

Pictures taken shortly before 7pm on Monday show a paramedic in a protective suit and mask assisting the patient.

The patient was wearing a face mask and sitting on the grass of the common.
