A man has been taken to hospital after falling from a wall 'beside a fast-flowing stream' in Bolton.
Fire crews and paramedics were called to the scene of the incident on Manor Street at around 3pm today (Friday).
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said a man had fallen from a wall next to a stream.
The M.E.N understands the incident happened near the River Croal.
The man was taken to hospital from the scene.
The extent of his injuries has not yet been confirmed.
The M.E.N has contacted NWAS for a comment.
In a statement, a GMFRS spokesperson said: "We were called to the scene just after 3pm to reports of a man who had fallen from a wall beside a fast-flowing stream.
"We worked with colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service at the scene.
"Crews rescued a man using a ladder and stretcher.
"Two fire engines from Bolton fire and one fire engine from Leigh attended.
"The individual has been taken to hospital."
