Man taken to hospital after emergency services attend 'medical incident'

A man was taken to hospital after emergency services rushed to the scene of a "medical incident" in Nottinghamshire.

The incident happened just after 8.40pm on Sunday (December 6) when police, ambulance and air ambulance crews were called to High Road in Beeston.

Nottinghamshire Police have since confirmed that a man was taken to hospital following the incident.

The police have not provided an update on his condition.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called just after 8.40pm yesterday (December 6) to a report of a medical incident in High Road, in the Beeston area of Nottingham.

"A man was taken to hospital."

A resident contacted Nottinghamshire Live just before 9pm to report the incident, describing seeing a "large police presence" in the area as well as crews from the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance.

Grant Nunns, who works in the area, said: "The police officer came back to my work to speak to me approximately two hours after they left to ask if I saw anything, but unfortunately it was like a ghost town."
