Man taken to hospital after crash involving two cars in Bolton

A man was taken to hospital following a crash in Bolton.

The collision, involving two cars, happened on Church Street in Westhoughton at around 5pm today on Friday (July 16).

GMP confirmed there have been no serious injuries, although a man in his 90s was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Pictures taken at the scene show one vehicle on its roof with another mounted on the pavement.

Recovery officers are currently at the scene (My Westhoughton)

The road was briefly closed to traffic, causing queues to build up in the surrounding area.

It has now reopened and recovery of the cars is taking place, according to witnesses.
