Man taken to hospital after crash involving tanker on busy West Bridgford road

A man has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a tanker on a busy road between West Bridgford and Wilford.

The incident happened just after 8pm on Friday, October 22, on the West Bridgford side of Wilford Lane, according to Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.

It involved a male pedestrian and a tanker, or Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV).

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman told Nottinghamshire Live: "One man was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or altering.

"The road was closed for several hours while the collision was investigated. We are looking into it further."

The fire service added: "West Bridgford Station 19, London Road Station 03, Highfields Station 29 attended an RTC on Wilford Lane, West Bridgford, the incident involved a tanker and a pedestrian.

"EMAS NHS Trust were also in attendance."
