Man taken to hospital after collision involving tram in Nottingham city centre

A man has been taken to Queen's Medical Centre after he was involved in a collision with a tram in the city centre.

The incident happened on Tuesday, July 15, in Goldsmith Street, just before 2.30pm.

The extent of his injuries are not yet known but paramedics were at the scene.

There was major tram delays across the network while the incident was being dealt with.

There was also no service between The Forest Rec and Old Market Square.

These restrictions have now been removed and the service is back up and running.

However, NET has warned there will be some delays as a result.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "We were called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a tram in Goldsmith Street, Nottingham, at 2.30pm today (June 15).

"A 60-year-old man has been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre.

"The tram line was closed but has now reopened.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 467 of 15 June."
