Man taken to hospital after car overturns at Salford Quays

A man has been taken to hospital after a car overturned at Salford Quays.

Emergency services rushed to Clippers Quay in the early hours of yesterday morning (Friday December 3).

Fire crews rescued a man from the car and he was taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 1am on Friday 3rd December, one fire engine from Salford fire station was called to reports of an overturned car near Clippers Quay, Salford.

“The crew arrived quickly at the scene, and firefighters worked to make the vehicle safe.

"A man was rescued from the vehicle by firefighters, before his care was transferred to colleagues from North West Ambulance Service.

"Firefighters were in attendance for around twenty minutes.”

A GMP spokesman added: "Police were called to reports of a one car collision on Clippers Quay at around 12.40am.

A man has been taken to hospital."
