Man taken to hospital after car flips onto roof in multi-vehicle M60 crash

A man was taken to hospital after a car flipped onto its roof in a crash on the M60.

Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to the scene of the smash last night (June 21).

Two vehicles were involved with the collision, which occurred around 8.15pm.

According to Greater Manchester Police, the incident took place on the anti-clockwise carriageway close to the junction 20 slip road for Middleton and Blackley.

One car completely flipped over onto its roof in the smash.

A man, aged 42, was taken to hospital from the scene.

He suffered minor injuries, police said.

Two lanes were blocked after the incident as emergency services cleared debris from the road.

According to Highways England, the closure was in place between junction 20 for Middleton and Blackley, and junction 21 for Chadderton.

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service told Manchester Evening News: "We have taken a man to hospital. No major-trauma related injuries."

The carriageway was fully reopened after around two hours.
