Man taken to hospital after being stabbed in north Manchester

A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in Blackley on Saturday night.

Police were called to the incident on Victoria Avenue at about 7.50pm.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Pictures from the scene show a number of police cars and an ambulance at the junction of Rochdale Road.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 7.50pm on Saturday April 17 officers attended a report of a stabbing at Victoria Avenue, Blackley.

"Officers attended along with the North West Ambulance Service.

"A male was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

"No arrests were made and enquiries are on-going."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
