Man taken to hospital after being rescued from canal boat at Bristol's Harbourside

A man has been taken to hospital after being rescued from a canal boat at the Harbourside.

Emergency services were called to Redcliffe Wharf on Wednesday evening (April 15) just before 9pm.

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said they treated a man and took him to hospital for further care.

In a statement, the fire service said: "At 8.52pm, crews from Temple and Bedminster fire stations were called to assist ambulance crews on Redcliffe Wharf in Redcliffe.
