Man taken to hospital after being hit by a bus on Ilkeston Road

A main route of Nottingham city had to be closed after a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called just before 10.10pm on Monday, December 14, to a report of a collision between a man and a bus.

They said the man was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-altering or life-threatening.

Ilkeston Road was closed and buses were diverted while officers attended the incident.

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) tweeted at around 10.30pm on Monday night: "Pink 28 and 30 are diverting until the end of service via Derby Road and Triumph Road because of the closure of Ilkeston Road."

The road has since reopened and is accessible.
