A man was taken to hospital after being attacked during a 'disturbance' near a hotel.
Police arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of assault following an incident on Manchester Road in Rochdale last night.
A man in his 50s was taken to hospital for treatment.

His injuries were described as being 'non-life-threatening', and he has now been released from hospital.
Manchester Road was closed in both directions for about an hour-and-a-half outside the Norton Grange Hotel.
In a statement, GMP said: "Shortly before 10.50pm on Saturday (31 October) police were called to reports of a disturbance on Manchester Road, Rochdale.
"Emergency services attended and a man in his 50 was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
"He has since been released from hospital.
"A man, aged 46, was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault. He remains in police custody for questioning.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
Transport for Greater Manchester tweeted last night: "Manchester Road in Rochdale is currently closed in both directions outside the Norton Grange Hotel.
"This is due to a police incident If you're heading this way, please seek an alternative route."
