A man has been taken to hospital after a robbery and an assault on a Salford street.
Police were called to the incident on Manchester Road in Walkden just after 6.45pm tonight (Saturday).
The circumstances of the incident are not yet clear, though the force said they are investigating after a suspected robbery and assault on the road.
A man was taken to hospital from the scene.
The Manchester Evening News understands that a section of the road was partially cordoned off after the incident.
The road is now open as normal.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At 6.48pm, GMP responded to a report of an assault/robbery.
"One male has been taken to hospital to investigate injuries.
"Officers are at the scene investigating the circumstances."
