A man has been taken to hospital after armed cops swarmed a house in Cumbernauld last night.
Officers from Police Scotland were called at around 4pm yesterday to Rowan Road, in Abronhill area of the North Lanarkshire , after concerns for a man's safety in a property.
Cops were seen wielding riot shields and hard hats as they locked down the area around the house on the residential street.
Reports emerged that a man had barricaded himself in a property.

As a result a 55-year-old man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital.
A spokeswoman from Police Scotland: "Police were called at around 4pm yesterday about concerns for a man's safety in a property on Rowan Road in Cumbernauld.
"A 55-year-old man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital following the incident."
