Man taken to hospital after 'altercation' outside pub

A man has been treated for 'minor' injuries after a fight broke out between two groups of friends.

The incident happened outside The Rivington Grill pub, in Blackrod, on Saturday evening (April 24).

One man went to hospital following the altercation.

No arrests have been made yet.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: "Police were called around 7pm to reports of an altercation between two small groups at a pub on Station Road in Blackrod.

"One man attended hospital with minor injuries, no arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing."
