A man is in hospital with 'serious injuries' after an alleged assault in Carrickfergus last night.
Police say they received reports of the incident at the Blackthorn Park area shortly after 10.25pm on Friday, April 24.
The victim, aged in his 30s was subsequently taken to hospital.
Detective Sergeant Crothers said: " Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information in relation to the incident, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 2206 24/04/20.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
