A man suspected of carrying out a racial and religious attack on a man in a takeaway was named by police.
Merseyside Police were called to a takeaway, on Bedford Road in Rock Ferry at around 8.30pm on Friday, March 25, following reports of a man shouting racial slurs. It was reported the man then approached the counter and attacked a staff member.
Following police investigations into the incident, Jon Bray, of Beckwith Street, Birkenhead was arrested on Thursday, April 21, and was taken into custody. On Tuesday, May 31, Bray was charged with racially aggravated assault, religious aggravated assault, and two racially and religiously aggravated public orders.

He was bailed and will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Wednesday, July 13.
