Man survives after being gored by two bulls in brutal Spanish festival

A runner has luckily survived after being gored by two bulls during a race at a Spanish bull-running festival.

The man, 30, from the neighbourhood of Albacete, Spain, initially managed to dodge one bull that was chasing him by running towards a fence.

However, he didn't realise a second bull was charging at him from behind.

The second beast then sent him flying into the fence before he crashed onto the ground.

Footage shows the bull continuously attack the man and slam him in the stomach with his horns.

Terrified runners joined forces to pull the bull's tail to try and distract the animal while some stunned spectators screamed for help.

According to La Verdad, the man was attacked by the bulls on the Calasparra highway on Monday.

He wa unconscious following the attack and other runners called the emergency services for help.

The man was then taken to a nearby hospital where doctors treated bruising to his abdominal area.

Jesus Amo, the mayor of the town said: "He has been unconscious for a few seconds.

"After examining it, he was taken to the Regional Hospital of the Northwest, where he will remain under observation for the next few hours."

Moralla is holding a seven-day bull-running fiesta but slightly different than the San Fermin Festival.

The bulls do not run a set course with runners in front of them, but are released to the streets and run loose within a contained area for a specified time.
