A MAN has suffered serious injuries and was flown to hospital after falling down stairs at a property in Merriwa.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter and emergency services were called to the property at 6pm on Tuesday to reports a man in his 30s had been in an accident on a staircase.
Ambulance paramedics were first on scene and treated the man for multiple injuries and suspected spinal injuries.
He was rushed by ambulance towards the John Hunter Hospital, before the paramedics met the Westpac Rescue Helicopter at a rendezvous point in Denman.
The helicopter Critical Care Medical Team stabilised the patient before he was airlifted in a serious but stable condition to the hospital for further assessment and treatment.
