Man suffers stab wound to arm in daylight attack

A man in his 20s suffered from a stab wound to the arm following a horrific daylight attack.

Police were called to a house on Robins Lane in St Helens at 3.10pm on Saturday, March 21, by the North West Ambulance Service to reports of an assault.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was found at the property with a stab wound to his arm.

He was taken to hospital for treatment for his injury which is not believed to be life threatening.

Officers have launched an investigation into the incident and enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We were called at 3.10pm today, Saturday 21 March, following reports a man in his 20s had been assaulted in St Helens.

"Officers were called to a house on Robins Lane by the North West Ambulance Service and found a man with a laceration wound to his arm.

"The man has been taken to hospital for treatment for his injury which is not believed to be life threatening.

"An investigation is underway and enquiries are being carried out in the local area.

"Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC, call 101 or contact  @Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting log 582 of 21 March."
