A man is in hospital with serious head injuries after he was found sitting on a windowsill in a Welsh town having been assaulted.
The 35-year-old victim was found by police officers at around 9pm on Saturday night in Aberystwyth .
He was sitting on a windowsill of a building on Bridge Street in the town centre.
He had sustained head injuries and was taken to a local hospital. However, police have since confirmed that due to the seriousness of his condition, he is due to be transferred on Sunday to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
Police are now appealing for information as to how the man sustained his injuries, and want to speak to two men and a woman who were in the area at the time.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We want to speak with any witnesses to the alleged incident and are particularly keen to speak with a group of three people (two male and one female) who were last seen outside of the Black Lion Pub, Bridge Street around the time of the incident.
“Anyone who was driving through the area between 8pm and 9pm and has dash cam footage of the road outside the Black Lion Pub, is also urged to get in touch.”
