Man suffers 'potentially life-changing injuries' after collision between motorbike and taxi

A man has suffered potentially life-changing injuries after a crash in Heywood .

Police were called to reports of a collision on Pilsworth Road at around 6.15am on Friday involving a silver Toyota taxi and a white Honda motorbike.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said the motorbike rider is currently on his way to hospital.

He has suffered 'potentially life-changing injuries'.

"It's quite serious," the spokesperson added.

The crash happened near Heywood Distribution Park and police are currently stopping entries to the estate.

Pilsworth Road also remains closed while a crash investigation is carried out.

At the scene this morning, the wreckage of the motorbike remained on the pavement and there was visible damage to the front of the Toyota.
