A man has suffered what police describe as 'life changing injuries' after a shooting in Wigan.
The drama unfolded just before 9pm on Saturday evening after police were called to reports of a disturbance.
Residents in the Crabtree Road area of Wigan had reported hearing gunshots.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a man had been shot in the leg and had suffered 'life changing injuries'.
Video footage from the scene showed a police helicopter hovering above the area.
There were also a number of police vehicles, including at least two police vans and four cars.
No details regarding the age of the man involved were given.
Greater Manchester Police said this evening that inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
