Man suffers head injuries after road rage 'confrontation', police appeal for help

A man has suffered head injuries following a confrontation with another driver in Bristol.

The assault took place in Ashley Road earlier this week on Monday (August 5).

At around 3.45pm, two male drivers became involved in a confrontation where one received multiple head injuries in an assault.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary is now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: "We’re appealing for witnesses after an affray on Ashley Road, Bristol. It happened after an incident involving two drivers escalated. The two men became involved in a confrontation where one suffered multiple head injuries following the assault.

"We are particularly interested in members of the public who may have footage of the incident.

"If you can help with our investigation, please call 101 quoting reference number 5219179647.

"You can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form.

"No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court or have to speak to police when contacting Crimestoppers."
