Man suffers fractured skull after being attacked by group of men in Bristol

A man suffered a fractured skull after being assaulted in Bristol. He was walking with a woman before being approached and attacked by a group of five or six young men.

Avon and Somerset Police say the assault took place in the Wapping Road area at around 11.40pm on Saturday, May 20. The victim, a man in his 30s, was punched in the back of the head, causing him to fall over.

The offenders are described as white, in their mid-twenties, and wearing black tracksuits. Police are now appealing for witnesses of the assault to come forward.

The force said in a public appeal: "If you saw this incident, have any relevant footage, or can help us identify any of the group, please contact us.

"If you can help, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5223117159, or complete our online appeals form."
