Man suffers facial injuries after police called to group of men fighting with weapons

A man has suffered facial injuries after police were called to reports of a group of men fighting with weapons.

Officers were called to Ogden Lane in Openshaw at around 4.10pm today (Monday, 15 March) to reports of violence.

One man sustained facial injuries during the fight, police said.

They are not believe to be serious.

An investigation has been launched by Greater Manchester Police.

No arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "Police were called at 4.10pm to reports of four men fighting with weapons on Ogden Lane, Manchester.

"It is understood one man has suffered minor facial injuries.

"Officers are in attendance and no arrests have yet been made."
