Man suffers cut face after 'altercation' on Nottingham tram at 7am

Officers investigating a report of a man suffering minor facial injuries while on a tram are appealing for information and witnesses.

Nottinghamshire Police were called at around 7am on Wednesday, August 26 after a man sustained a small cut to his face.

It is thought the man had been travelling on a tram through Radford when the incident happened.

Chief Inspector Riz Khan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The man suffered minor injuries in an altercation on the tram but we are now working to establish the circumstances.

“This was an isolated incident where the victim and suspect are known to each other and we have increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance.

“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch with Nottinghamshire Police as soon as possible.

“We will of course work with NET to review any CCTV footage of the incident as well as working with our partners to provide any support they need.”
