Man suffers broken eye socket during robbery in Leeds park

A man was left with a broken eye socket after being attacked in a park in south Leeds.

The incident happened between 1am and 1.30am on Tuesday, January 14 as the 37-year-old was walking through Cross Flatts Park near Dewsbury Road in Beeston.

The victim was punched and left with serious injuries after the suspect stole his Amazon Fire tablet.

Officers from West Yorkshire Police are now appealing for people with information to get in touch to help their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area of the park around the time is asked to contact DC130 Tidswell at Leeds District Crime Team via 101 quoting crime reference 13200022658 or online via the force's live chat service.
