Man suffered 'neck and back injuries' after motorbike collides with car in Newcastle

A man suffered neck and back injuries following a collision between a car and a motorcyclist in Newcastle.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Great Lime Road at around 6.15pm on Tuesday.

The North East Ambulance Service confirmed they treated a patient at the scene, who had suffered neck and back injuries.

Speaking at the time, a spokesman said: "We received a call at 6.15pm of a collision between a car and a motorbike.

"An ambulance crew is currently at the scene treating a patient with neck and back injuries."

Northumbria Police has now launched an investigation following the collision.

“At about 6.20pm yesterday (Tuesday) we received a report of a collision between a car and a motorcyclist on Great Lime Road," a spokesman said.

“Emergency services attended the scene and the male motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Enquiries are ongoing.”
